【iFAST-Marine Symposium】coming soon: from 16-18th August, 2021

  On behalf of the organizing committee for the International Forum on Advanced Environmental Sciences and Technology, and Marine Environment and Ecosystem Symposium (iFAST-Marine), we warmly welcome you to join the symposium. This online symposium is jointly organized by the University of Oklahoma (OU), OK, USA, the International Center for Deep Life Investigation (IC-DLI), Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), Shanghai, China, and Central South University (CSU), Changsha, China. The theme of this iFAST-Marine Symposium is “The changing ocean and the ecosystem”. Marine covers ~70% of the Earth surface with average depth of 3,800 m, and it provides the largest habitats (including sea water, sediments and rocks) for life to thrive, which serves as the core to sustain the habitability of the Earth. With climate changing, the ocean and its ecosystem are evolving. this symposium will bring seniors and young scientists together to discuss various aspects of marine and its ecosystem development.

The symposium will include three sessions:

           I. Biogeochemical processes in the ocean and the sustainable development.

           II. Extreme ecosystems in the ocean.

           III. Marine ecosystem under climate change.

Each session will last 2.5h with 2-3 keynote talks and 4-6 short talks during August 16-18, 2021.
